Wyandanch is a hamlet in the town of Babylon with a rich history. The Massapequa Indians deeded the land that is now Wyandanch to Huntington in 1698. Since that time, the community has been shaped by waves of immigrants. Modern Wyandanch is a diverse and vibrant community. The youth of Wyandanch enjoy many recreational activities at the Wyandanch Youth Services Center.

Wyandanch offers a variety of activities for residents and visitors. Geiger Lake is a small lake with a picnic area and lake activities, including fishing.
